Being in charge of your own boat, or sailing it with a partner can encourage confidence, independence and responsibility set on the beautiful Llyn Clywedog.
We have a fantastic fleet of dinghies at our water base on the shores of the beautiful Llyn Clywedog near Llanidloes in Powys. Here we share facilities with the Clywedog Sailing Club, including changing rooms, hot showers and kitchen facilities. We have direct access to the lake at this venue.
Our fleet of boats includes Laser Funboats and Opibats, for the young and beginner sailors with Laser Picos for the more advanced or older.
To compliment our fleet of sailing boats we have several powerboats to use as safety boats.
Equipment;
All specialised equipment needed for sailing is provided by us, wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets...and of course the boat. All you need is a swimming costume, t-shirt, trainers, and a full set of clothes to keep dry.
On top of running basic introductory sailing session which last roughly 2-3 hours. We also run RYA Certificated course for Level 1 - 3, Youth Stages 1-4 and run the RYA Onboard Programme. For more details of these courses please click on 'RYA Courses' on the menu bar.
