GEO CACHE & ORIENTEERING

Geocaching; is an outdoor recreational activity, in which participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches" or "caches", at specific locations marked by coordinates all over the world.

At Brenin Adventures we have distributed our own caches in the surrounding countryside to give an accessible and fun game for our visitors. We also provide the GPS units and the expertise to teach how to use them.

Orienteering;

is a sports that requires navigational skills using a map to navigate from point to point in diverse and usually unfamiliar terrain.

Participants are given a topographical map, usually a specially prepared orienteering map, which they use to find markers with numbers and letters. The winners are those that find the most.

We have set up our own orienteering courses in the coutryside close to our centre and it makes a rewarding activities for groups.
