Stand up Paddleboarding originated from surfers in Hawaii.
Paddle boarders stand on their boards and use a paddle to propel themselves through the water.
Variations include flat water paddling for outdoor recreation, racing on lakes, large rivers and canals, surfing on ocean waves, and paddling in river rapids (whitewater SUP).
We offer half day Taster sessions and full day Courses and trips on the reservoirs and canals of the beautiful Cambrian Mountain countryside.
Intro to SUP Days
This half day taster is a great way to try Stand up Paddleboarding (SUP). Once you’ve had a quick introduction to the equipment and after a short safety briefing we will get to grips with how to control the board whilst kneeling. Once we’ve got that sorted we’ll look at getting stood up.
After all, it is called stand-up paddle boarding. When you’re feeling comfortable you’ll put your new found skills to use and go on a small journey.
We also run more skill based session and trips.
